Layla Barnett is a 4th grader at Peck School. She was nominated for a Superintendent's Excellent Student Award by school counselor Mauricio Tobar. Layla joined the Peck School in October, Mr. Tobar said, “and she has exhibited our core values—Respectful, Responsible, and Ready To Learn—very much consistently since day one. She is very kind and respectful to everyone in our building. She engages in academic work, is always willing to help out others, and her mom works collaboratively with us. She is a positive leader and a great classmate to her peers.”
Superintendent Anthony Soto will give each student selected for recognition a personalized plaque and $25 gift card. Awards will be distributed monthly.
