Holyoke Public Schools has scheduled Acceleration Academies for Monday, February 17 through Friday, February 21, designed to provide enriching learning experiences and English Language arts support for elementary, middle, and high school students during February break week.
Acceleration Academies will follow this schedule:
Grades 3-5—8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
At Morgan School for students who regularly attend Morgan and Lawrence
At McMahon School for students who regularly attend Kelly, E.N. White, Donahue, and McMahon
Grades 6-8—8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
At STEM Academy for students who regularly attend Metcalf, Sullivan, and STEM Academy
Grades 9-12—8 a.m. - 12 noon
At Holyoke High School North for students who regularly attend HHS North
At HHS Dean Campus for students who regularly attend Dean Tech
Breakfasts and lunches will be provided to participants at all locations. Transportation is provided for students in grades 3-8. Students in 9-12 can access public buses operated by PVTA.
Families of interested students can enroll online. Space is limited so families are encouraged to enroll as soon as possible to ensure their children can participate. For assistance with enrollment, please call (413) 534-2000, option 1.
Similar acceleration academies will be offered April 21-25 during the next break week, featuring enriching learning experiences and math support. More information will be available soon.
