A look at the unfinished interior of the new William R Peck Middle School

For the first time since construction crews began work on the new Peck Middle School, community members can now take a virtual tour of both the exterior and interior of the building site thanks to this recently completed 15-minute video

HPS Maintenance Administrator Sean P. Sheedy leads the video’s virtual tour—filmed in late January—pointing out key construction and safety features, as well as design elements that create a bright, spacious learning environment.

“Every day, our general contractor and subcontractors continue to make progress,” Mr. Sheedy said. “With the installation of windows nearly finished and successful initial testing, the building is taking shape. Inside, the progress is evident with spray foaming, studding, and plumbing work all inspected and ready for sheetrock. Designed with student safety and convenience in mind, the layout features a secure drop-off area, spacious classrooms filled with natural light, and a versatile media center for various activities.”

Construction is moving along steadily, with the building expected to open in fall 2025 for approximately 550 students in grades 6-8.
