Paola Diaz-Adorno is a 4th grade English language arts teacher at Peck school. She was nominated for a Superintendent's Excellence Award by her colleague and school counselor Mauricio Tobar. “She started this school year as a para,” he explained in his nomination, “and then she stepped in as a teacher when our 4th grade ELA teacher left after a few weeks. She shows commitment towards the profession. She is studying for education in college, which means she is a full-time teacher, a full-time college student, and a full-time single mother!”
Superintendent Anthony Soto will give each staff member selected for recognition a personalized plaque and $25 gift card. Awards will be distributed monthly.
