Dear Holyoke Public Schools Community,
The Holyoke School Committee is pleased to announce that Mr. Anthony Soto was appointed via unanimous vote as Interim Superintendent during last night's school committee meeting, pending his contract negotiation and exiting receivership. The School Committee will continue its efforts to hire a permanent Superintendent — the first step of which is currently in process through the Community Advisory Team meetings.
This appointment is an important step in our capacity building plan. Stable leadership is a critical component of our district’s transition out of receivership and into local control. We are confident that Mr. Soto will provide the guidance and support needed to continue to lead our schools forward during this pivotal time.
