Holyoke High School’s Opportunity Academy’s Class of 2023 will be graduating on Thursday, June 22, with a ceremony to be held at the Holyoke War Memorial, 310 Appleton Street. Students will arrive by 9 a.m., with the ceremony set to begin at 10 a.m.

“Each student will be honored with a personalized recognition during the ceremony,” said OA Principal Geoffrey Schmidt. “These are very meaningful moments for our students and their families, as well as for our staff who have forged strong bonds with our students during their time at OA.”

Some of OA’s 64 graduating seniors previously participated in the HHS Dean Campus graduation on June 1 or the HHS North Campus graduation on June 4. OA seniors are given a choice of graduation ceremonies to participate in, with each student choosing the one most meaningful for them.

OA offers three campuses to serve students with a diverse set of needs or goals. These include:

  • A Dual-Enrollment program at Holyoke Community College for students age 16+ who seek an early college experience;

  • A small personalized progressive education center for high school students of any age; and

  • A project-based and competency-based high school program for students who are more than one year off-track.
