Delivery teams dropped off piles of steel at the construction site for the new middle school this week—and the landscape there will soon change considerably again as work crews begin erecting the steel to create the framework for the new building. That work is expected to advance quickly, with the last beam expected to be placed in the next two to three weeks.
The final beam to be placed has already been identified and will be set aside for use during a “topping off” ceremony in late June to mark the completion of this phase of construction. Ceremony details will be released soon.
