Boy eating watermelon slice at picnic table

The district's Summer Eats program offering free meals for kids kicked off on Monday, July 1, with a family fun day that included games, face painting, and free carousel rides at Heritage Park.

The program is now continuing each weekday through August 16 at eight locations within the City of Holyoke, so children and teens can pick up free healthy lunches each day (except on Thursday, July 4, which is a holiday).

Meals will be provided per the following schedule:

  • Community Field, Community Field Road, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

  • Heritage Park, 221 Appleton Street, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

  • Holyoke Community College, 303 Homestead Avenue, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
